At CargoClave, we are committed to protecting the privacy and security of every driver who uses the CargoClave Driver mobile application (“App”). This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how it is used, and how we keep it safe.

Your trust is important to us, and we strictly follow Google Play policies, Indian data protection guidelines, and industry-standard security practices.

Information We Collect

1.1 Location Data (Foreground & Background)

The App collects your device’s foreground and background location data only for operational and safety purposes.
We collect:

  • Foreground Location – when the app is open and in use

  • Background Location – when the app is running in the background and trip is in-transit

Why We Collect Location Data

We use location data solely to:

  • Track trip progress and assign live tasks

  • Provide accurate ETA to dispatchers and customers

  • Enable route navigation and optimize delivery paths

  • Maintain safety, audit logs, and proof-of-service

  • Support compliance for logistics operations

We do NOT use background location to market, profile, or track you outside logistics operations.

1.2 Camera and files Access

The App requests permission to use your Camera and Files.
Camera and files access is used only to:

  • Capture delivery proof photos

  • Upload documents, such as PODs, invoices, or shipment images

  • Verify shipment condition and prevent disputes

The App does not record videos, scan your gallery, or access media outside what you upload.

1.3 Account & Profile Information

We may collect basic profile information such as:

  • Name

  • Phone number

  • Driver ID / Employee ID

  • Aadhar number (optional)

  • License number (optional)

Used only for driver identity management and dispatch operations.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used only for legitimate logistics and operational needs:

  • Assigning trips and tasks

  • Real-time route tracking & fleet visibility

  • Shipment monitoring and proof of delivery

  • Communication between drivers, dispatchers, and support

  • Fraud prevention and safety compliance

  • Improving app performance and reliability

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal or location data with advertisers or any third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Data Security

We protect your data using modern security controls:

  • Encrypted transmission (HTTPS / TLS)

  • Restricted access only to authorized personnel

  • Secured cloud storage

  • Regular audits and monitoring

  • Technical safeguards to prevent unauthorized access, loss, or misuse

4. Third-Party Services

The App may use third-party services such as:

  • Google Maps (for location and navigation)

  • Firebase (for analytics, crash reports, push notifications)

These services follow their own privacy policies.
We ensure no excessive or unauthorized data is shared.

5. Your Rights & Choices

You may:

  • Disable camera access (but some features may not work)

  • Disable background location (but trip tracking will be affected)

  • Request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data

  • Withdraw permission at any time from your phone settings

6. Children’s Privacy

This App is strictly for adult drivers (18+ years) and not intended for children.
We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

7. Data Retention

We retain data only as long as necessary for:

  • Legal compliance

  • Logistics record-keeping

  • Safety audits

  • Operational needs

After this period, information is securely deleted.

8. Policy Updates

We may update this Policy occasionally.
